Blooming Aloe

That's the first time I have seen an aloe plant blooming. Surely, Karli on his aloe farm sees it all the time. But for me it was a first. Right at the front porch, where I have all sorts of stuff growing, mostly wild.

Pretty little thing!

(It is not the green/red leaves, but the small pinkish tube-like thingies!)

Jana, pinkish tube-like thingies?

Wikipedia.org: The flowers are produced on a spike up to 90 cm tall, each flower pendulous, with a yellow or red tubular corolla 2-3 cm long.

Naja, habs geschafft, also her mit dem (belizianischen) Abitur.

Grüsse von der Soluna Farm mit mehr Enten als die ...Duck Farm.

Hallo Everybody,
I caught up in things reading your and Karl's blog.
I so wanted to come to Belize this October. But I don't have the money right now. I am trying to sell my other house, and the real estate market has tanked. So I rented it out again after 9 month of standing empty. My neighbors had their house explode from an electric spark somehow setting her oxygen tank on fire. They were gone, thanks God, and no one got hurt. So for now they live there. Between the rent coming in and saving like mad, I hope to be there next year!!!
We had the first frost up here in the mountains. Had a good year for tomatoes, the rest of the garden was a bit neglected. I hope to have more time next year.
I'm working hard to try to get my business established. It's puttering along, and I'm eating.
I keep saying "next year" this and "next year" that. That seems to be the Theme for 2006. I don't know where the year went. but I got a lot done with much more to do.
I am so happy you all have blogs. Next best thing to being there!
Hope you are all well, and watch those slippery steps!!
Greetings
Susanne
